Dr. Kim Littlefield is a graduate of
Saint Louis University’s orthodontic program and is a certified diplomat of the
American Board of Orthodontists, a rare and distinct honor. The doctor is a member of the American Dental Association, the Illinois
State Dental Society, and the St. Clair District Dental Society as well as the
American Association of Orthodontists and Midwest Society of Orthodontists. He is very active in the community and participates in several charitable and local
organizations.
In an attempt to maintain broad, full smiles and attractive
profiles, many borderline extraction cases at Midwest Orthodontics are treated
with expansion therapy rather than having permanent teeth extracted. The results
obtained from these treatments are very stable and show improved esthetics.
Every attempt is made to minimize the length of time a patient
is in
treatment. In some cases, this means doing 2 phases of treatment… in other
cases this means waiting until the ideal number of adult teeth has come in before
starting. In either case, the patient is considered first. At Midwest Orthodontics,
we want our patients to look forward to their appointments, and to have fun while
they are here.
